8 Crazy Conspiracy Theory Songs By Well-Known Artists

3. M.I.A Has A Song About C.I.A Surveillance That Turned Out To Be True (Sort Of)

The outspoken British singer M.I.A's 2010 album “Maya” began with the trippy, robotic track "The Message", which claimed that Google is “connected to the government” as surely as the “Head bone is connected to the neck bone”. The creepy video featured chopped up and screwed images of Google searches.

Although M.I.A was lambasted at the time for embracing this lurid conspiracy (called things like "paranoid" and "infantile" by the mainstream music press) she was somewhat vindicated by subsequent revelations about the extent of NSA surveillance. Unsurprisingly, the singer wasn’t afraid to rub the media’s face in it afterwards, taking to Tumblr to quote her nastiest criticisms right back at her detractors.
