8 Famous Musicians Who Mysteriously Disappeared And Were Never Seen Again

6. Licorice McKechnie

Christina 'Licorice' McKechnie (aka Likky Lambert) was a Scottish musician who is best known as the frontwoman for The Incredible String Band. She was a member of the psychedelic folk group from 1968 to 1972.

After parting ways with The Incredible String Band, McKechnie moved to California where she married a musician named Brian Lambert (though they would eventually divorce) and worked on a variety of musical projects, most notably Robin Williamson's 1977 album, Journey's Edge. It would end up being her final recording appearance.

There isn't a ton of information on the singer from 1977 to the time of her disappearance, roughly a decade later (1987). Her family last saw her in 1986 and she was last seen wandering and hitchhiking in the Arizona Desert the following year. No one has sighted her since.

Of course, the Arizona Desert can be a dangerous place and hitchhiking isn't particularly safe either, which could easily explain her disappearance.

Unlike other musicians on our list, there haven't been many alleged Likky Lambert sightings or bizarre theories associated with her disappearance. However, in 2019 an unconfirmed internet post claimed she was alive, well, and living in California, but that's about it.
