8 Hotly Anticipated 2016 Albums (And Why They'll Be Disappointing)

1. Guns N' Roses €“ Untitled 2016 Album

Guns N' Roses €“ one of the great €œwhat the hell happened€ bands in the history of rock and roll. It seems that every last shred of credibility was lost after the release of 2008's Chinese Democracy, but nevertheless fans still dream of redemption. In July 2014 it was reported that a new album was close to being finished, and according to the band it's currently set for a 2016 release alongside a new tour. So...will the album be a glorious return to form? It's highly unlikely. For a start, response to Chinese Democracy was so terrible that the band is claiming the songs on its new album are songs they wrote well before Chinese Democracy was out, in what's clearly a desperate attempt to convince the world that though they may not be able to write decent songs now, they could before, and those are the songs they'll be recording. Not only that, but members are dropping from the band like flies, including guitarist DJ Ashba and Ron Thal. The final nail in the album's coffin? According to band member Richard Fortus, none of the band have any idea what's going on with the album because €œOnly Axl knows, and he's very secretive€. If sole creative control lies in the sweaty hands of Axl Rose, you can guarantee the final product will be a bloated mess.
