Keith "The Loon" Moon was the drummer for rock mega group The Who; an absolutely revered figure within the music industry, regarded as one of the greatest drummers of all time and one of the most singularly destructive human beings ever born.

The Who were famous for being kicked out of hotels and Moon, out of his mind on alcohol, amphetamines or both, was usually the chief culprit. After leaving one hotel, the drummer said he had forgotten something; running upstairs, he threw his television off the balcony into the hotel swimming pool. Moon's response?

"I nearly forgot".

The Loon was so destructive that footing his bills meant the band was broke through most of the 1960s. In another incident, a hotel manager was sent to inform the drummer of noise complaints from his cassette player; Moon politely turned it off and excused himself to go to the bathroom.

He proceeded to light a stick of dynamite and stalled the manager until the bathroom literally exploded. Turning his music back on, Moon informed the terrified man.

"That, dear boy, was noise. This is The Who".

Moon tragically died in 1978 in a cruel twist of irony, overdosing on a drug intended to help recovering alcoholics. However, his immeasurable talent and unbelievable stunts mean that he posthumously remains the embodiment of the term rockstar.
