8 Most Famous Beefs In Hip Hop Music History
6. Drake Vs. Pusha T
The rivalry between Drake and Pusha T has its roots in a beef between Push and Drake's mentor, Lil Wayne, dating all the way back to the early 00s.
Drake became embroiled in the conflict after signing with Wayne's Young Money Entertainment, and ever since the pair have traded disses on several different tracks. Despite this, the feud remained predominantly subliminal in the ensuing years. That is until all hell broke loose in 2018 with the rivalry boiling over right into the public eye.
On his critically acclaimed album Daytona, Pusha continued the verbal sparring by referencing Drake's usage of ghostwriters by name. Drake wasted no time in returning fire and less than two days later he released "Duppy Freestyle" that saw the Canadian take shots at both Pusha and his producer Kanye West. He even went as far as sending Pusha an invoice for the publicity he had given the New York rapper.
Not one to let himself be humiliated in the public eye, Pusha turned things up a notch by releasing "The Story of Adidon," a scathing track that referencing Drake's hidden child, his relationship with his father, and featuring an album cover that saw Drake wearing blackface.
Ever since things have been relatively quiet on the front.
Will things heat up again? Who knows, but for now at least there is peace between two of the genres biggest stars.
