9 Albums To Play When Doing Creative Work

2. Sacred Spirit: Chants And Dances Of Native Americans

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNApcyzaY60 This project by Claus Zundel, Ralf Hamm and Markus Stabb sampled the chants of native American Navajo, Pueblo and Sioux tribes, plus a tune from the Sami people (Laplanders), then set them to a new age ambient genre. The result was an album that sold 15 million copies, was nominated for a Best New Age Grammy, and donated $1 for every album sold to the Native American Rights Fund. This album differs from the others on this list in that it is mostly vocal, but the music composed to accompany the chants is so complimentary that you can get past that. The voices become instruments themselves. Besides, it€™s unlikely that you speak the languages used, so you won€™t get lost in trying to translate them. The vocals might distract some people anyway, so you might want to listen to this one on regular speakers first. Best tracks are Winter Ceremony, The Counterclock Wise Circle Dance, and Brandishing the Tomahawk, but you will probably enjoy them all. You might also consider adding the second album in the series, Sacred Spirit, Vol. 2: More Chants and Dances of Native Americans and just put that next on the playlist. Best suited for coders/website builders. Other contenders: Enigma €“ The Cross of Changes
