9 Fascinating Studio Accidents That Made It Into Famous Songs

3. Radiohead €“- Creep

Easily the most powerful part of the entire song, Radiohead's Creep (which appeared on the 1992 album Pablo Honey and acted as the band's debut single) features a much louder chorus than the languid verses, driving home the power of the haunting lyrics. Specifically, there are three loud, palm muted chords played before the chorus kicks in, seamlessly (yet masterfully) marking the transition from verse to chorus.

What you mightn't know, however, is that these chords were never supposed to make it into the final version of the song. Guitarist Jonny Greenwood claims to have played the chords in defiance of the song's quiet nature, assuming they'd never make it in. In fact, there are sources that suggest Greenwood played the chords in attempt to ruin the song entirely, as he was famously the first member of the band to come out and publicly state they didn't like the song. An attempt to ruin the song, then, made it so much better.
