9 Great Closing Tracks On Albums

6. The Tourist - Ok Computer [Radiohead]

Radiohead's Ok Computer is undoubtedly one of the best albums to come out of the late 90s. When grunge had dissipated in popularity, Radiohead helped show rockers where rock could go and would go in the coming decades.

The album is centered around paranoia and panic surrounding everyday life. Everything seems to be going so fast around you as Radiohead keep talking about the horrors of a world run by machines (what with transportation, security systems, and yes, computers.)

But the album ends on a serene note with "The Tourist," a song that sounds as if it could have come off their previous smash album The Bends. The track leaves a final mission statement for those who listen: "Slow down!" And Thom Yorke and company were right.

With all the advancements in technology every day and the accompanying paranoias of securing one's privacy nowadays, maybe we all need to learn to slow down a little bit. Sometimes it just takes a band like Radiohead to tell us.
