9 Hidden Details In Beatles Tracks You Never Noticed
3. Ringo's Hidden Shout - Lovely Rita
This one is so subtle that you kind of have to listen to it a few times just to get your head around whether it’s there or not. After much deliberation, I have decided it is so here we go. Basically, Lovely Rita, is a nice enough ditty from the second half of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band about Paul McCartney being given a parking ticket by a meter maid who stopped him in his tracks with her jaw-dropping beauty.
The track then ends, as do some many songs on this list, with a load of stuff and nonsense from the Fab Four. This time there’s a bit of panting, some random vocalisations (because, y’know, drugs, probably), and then Ringo shouts ‘You’d better believe it’ in amongst the chaos.
It’s very, very subtle, it’s pretty meaningless, but as sure as the sky is up and the pound is down (cheers Brexit), it’s definitely there.
