9 Most Annoying Voices In Music History

2. Stevie Nicks

Speaking of goat-ish voices... Much has been made of Stevie Nicks' tendency to bleat her way through songs (South Park centered an entire episode around the fact that a common goat could easily be mistaken for the witchy woman) while never managing to actually ruin any of those songs. Because confidence and mystique can carry someone a long way, particularly when your bandmates are Fleetwood Mac. It should also be noted that, as irritating as her raspy whine can be, it somehow matches up perfectly with Lindsay Buckingham's backing vocals. It's only when she's left to her own devices that the auditory misery truly commences. When taken on their own merit...there's not a lot to like about Stevie Nicks' voice. (That's probably the nicest way of putting it.) But, as with so many classic rock bands, Fleetwood Mac lucked into a special combination that resulted in some of the most defining tracks of the 70s. Despite the fact that Stevie wanted to escape through your speakers to eat grass the grass in your backyard.
