9 Most Underrated Nirvana Songs

4. Curmudgeon

Some of the songs previously mentioned in this article have received at least some of the credit they deserve through being singles or regular studio album tracks, but this entry was in fact neither. ‘Curmudgeon’ was never given the opportunity of proper acknowledgement as it was not featured on any of Nirvana’s three studio albums.

‘Curmudgeon’ was first heard in 1992 as part of Nirvana’s live recording session with Laundry Room Studio, which was the bands first official recording session since the release of ‘Nevermind’ a year prior. This future B-side was debuted alongside a cover of The Wipers’ ‘Return of the Rat’ and a demo version of the previously mentioned ‘Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle’.

A few months later, ‘Curmudgeon’ peaked in popularity as a B-side on the ‘Lithium’ single release, and was all but forgotten about until the 2016 reissue of ‘Nevermind’, where it was featured as a bonus track for the first time.
