We're sure The Rembrandts are very happy men, and you can argue they are the most successful musicians on this list merely for performing the theme song of the sitcom Friends. But of course the song was always going to be labelled cheesy because they co-wrote it with the show’s producers.

This song gives power pop a bad name. I'll Be There For You's harshest critics prevented any further success for the band. They didn't stand a chance for longevity in the alt rock and Britpop boom.
