9 Rock Bands Who Hate Their Own Famous Songs

2. Panic! At The Disco - I Write Sins Not Tragedies

Having gone through a number of transitional styles, appearances and line-ups over the years, Brendon Urie admits that Panic! at the Disco is effectively a solo project at this point. It wasn't always that way though, as Panic! initially formed as a band in 2004. Over time, members have gradually moved onto new things leaving Urie to work independently under the Panic! name.

Urie has collaborated with a number of high profile singers and artists throughout his career, but 'I Write Sins Not Tragedies' definitely remains his most well-known song. Initially released in 2005 as part of the then-band's debut album, 'A Fever You Can't Sweat Out', this hit single has become a staple feature of the alternative music scene.

Although the song has enjoyed great success, Urie was filmed at a live Panic! show years ago telling fans "Goddammit, I’m f*cking tired of this song". In interviews since this remark, Urie has reiterated that he actually doesn't hate the song, claiming his remark was a joke and conceded that "obviously, my humour doesn’t hit."
