AC/DC - EVERY Album Ranked Worst To Best

4. Let There Be Rock (1977)

Bon Scott turns his eccentric personality and commanding vocal presence up to eleven for 1977’s Let There Be Rock. While the album didn’t see much success in the charts, especially in the United States where it peaked at 154, Let There Be Rock features a selection of classic songs which any AC/DC live performance would be incomplete without. The album is the last to feature Mark Evans on bass guitar.

Three single were released from the album. The first single, Dog Eat Dog, is the weakest of the three tracks by far. While the song is good, it doesn’t capture the same energy as the other singles from the album. Let There Be Rock features the album tracks Go Down, Problem Child and Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be, the third being another beloved track.

The stand out tracks come from the albums second and third singles: Let There Be Rock and Whole Lotta Rosie. Both songs are absolute classics that defined AC/DC’s legendary style. The songs are masterfully performed by the ever great Bon Scott, and Angus Young’s amazing guitar performance give that songs a signature loud energy that is carried over into the next few albums.
