AC/DC - EVERY Album Ranked Worst To Best
12. Blow Up Your Video (1988)
Another underrated entry in AC/DC’s repertoire, 1988’s Blow Up Your Video brings yet more solid rock music to the table. Similarly to Fly on the Wall, none of the tracks from this album truly stand out among the band’s overall work. However, there are certainly some great tracks here which shouldn’t be ignored.
Blow Up Your Video didn’t feature a title track, the second time in AC/DC’s history to do this after 1978’s Powerage; instead the lead single for this album was the song Heatseeker. This is easily the stand out track from the album, with Johnson and the Young brothers on top form. Simon Wright also returns as drummer for the album and his presence is certainly felt throughout.
Blow Up Your Video has more songs to offer than albums like Ballbreaker and Stiff Upper Lip. The albums second single, That's the Way I Wanna Rock 'n' Roll, as well as a variety of the album tracks also offer an enjoyable experience.
Notable album tracks include Ruff Stuff, Two’s Up and Meanstreak, which continue the same degree of quality seen in Heatseeker.
