Alter Bridge: 10 Toughest Tremonti Solos NO ONE Else Can Play

6. Fallout

The guitar work on ABIII is as varied as it is virtuosic. And while the whole album goes for that distinctive dark tone that looms deliciously over every composition, 'Fallout' marks a halfway point that opens the floodgates for a whole world of musical woes.

The solo plays out in quite a similar fashion to 'Cry a River', starting off sprightly and sweepingly and then accelerating into full-blown fret abuse. But what makes this one stand out are its brilliantly piercing high tones, cutting right through the song's ominous atmosphere and providing that little glimmer of hope within the fallout in question.

Not for you, however, as it'll take more than a bit of practicing to master this 'Monti masterwork!
