Alter Bridge: 10 Toughest Tremonti Solos NO ONE Else Can Play

4. One Day Remains

This song is just virtuosity from start to finish. In any other context. you'd be forgiven on your first listen for thinking that the main riff of 'One Day Remains' was the solo! But nope, that's just the level of heavy metal riffage that Tremonti was clearly denied during his time in Creed. Now, imagine a solo on top of that.

Interestingly, the solo follows the same rhythm as this main riff and could maybe even be considered a countermelody, if not for that screaming Tremonti tone that quietly says, "listen to me, neeeerds. Bet you can't do this, huh?!"

It's two insane feats of guitar playing in perfect complementation, and if that doesn't disorientate you enough to think twice about even attempting to learn this one, then I don't know what will.
