Alter Bridge: The Last Hero - 6 Things We Learned From The Cover Art

3. Elvis Is In The Building

Can Michael 'Elvis' Baskette just produce every rock album? Please? The dude has the ears of the gods, and so far everything he's touched has turned out better than anyone could've ever expected.

Returning once again to produce The Last Hero (and granted, this isn't 'news', but it's now in print for the album sleeve, let's just be happy), Baskette knows just how to pull off the dynamism of Alter Bridge like no one else.

The crunch of their twin guitar-attack solos, the melodious highs of Myles' impeccable vocal range - the bassy thunderous rumble of Brian Marshall and the shotgun snares of Flip on drums.

Look to the rapid-fire snare hits as something like Peace is Broken kicks in, or the underlying growl of Cry of Achilles to get a feel for how Elvis can really texture an album better than anyone else.
