It's a warm glimpse into the band's knockabout years as teenagers: smart-alek rhymes and gnarled guitar tones are present and correct, as well as an instantly-endearing chorus. The central refrain is one of the catchiest in the band's canon, and the bridge features some characteristically timely swearing from Turner ("she's not nice; she's pretty f*cking far from nice"). Listening to it nowadays (almost nine years following its release), it sounds very much of-its-time, but its throwback charm still remains.
