The Beatles: Ranking Their Albums Worst To Best

13. Yellow Submarine (1969)

Yellow Submarine

Best Song: Hey Bulldog Worst Song: All Together Now Takes the spot for the worst Beatles album, not because it contains bad songs, more due to the lack of songs and more instrumental pieces. This album is considered a soundtrack for the bands animated movie of the same name. The famous love themed anthem All You Need is Love is among the track list along with the underrated Hey Bulldog, one of the last joined compositions between John and Paul before the tension overtook and solo songwriting dominated. George Harrison has two contributions Northern Song and it's All Too Much which add to the trippyness of the movie and soundtrack as a whole due to the LSD/meditations based lyrics and fuzz/distorted guitars. While Yellow Submarine has its fine moments they don't technically justify the album as one of the best like mentioned earlier due to the instrumental score tracks.
