When The Killers entered their first hiatus in 2010, fans would have been forgiven for being a little concerned. Shortly, however, the news that perennial workaholic Brandon Flowers would continue to make music as the other members took downtime would have proved some soothing consolation for fans. 

This would prove to be more soothing still, however, when the early teases of Flowers' solo work offered up more than enough similarities to his work with Dave, Mark and Ronnie for fans to feel as though The Killers hadn't even gone away. Even the covers smacked of classic Killers style.

Flowers' cover of Bette Davis Eyes has him commanding all the yearning romanticism that has made tracks like A Dustland Fairytale so popular with his fans, and could well be a cover he packs into his arsenal for the upcoming UK tour...
