Brandon Flowers: 10 Best Covers You Need To Hear

5. I Came To Believe

It's always been suggested that The Killers are the last of a dying breed of artists that made it "the hard way", before social media and talent shows opened the door for virtually everybody to make it as an artist. Flowers has spoken many times about how difficult he believes it is for "guitar bands" to gather attention in a world where electronic music is taking over, and he seems to have a real yearning for music's simpler time.

In truly nostalgic fashion, Flowers' cover of Johnny Cash's I Came To Believe demonstrates just how deep this appreciation runs for The Killers' frontman. While all of the headline slots and stadium shows demonstrate that Flowers knows how to put on one heck of a show, a cover like this shows that - even with all the bombast and neon stripped back - there's a real artist at the core.

If any song truly matches up to the polite, faithful personality that Flowers carries off-stage, then it's certainly this one.
