Eminem: 10 Most Overrated Songs
4. Berzerk/Walk On Water/Darkness
If the music industry handed out Golden Raspberry awards, then it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that you're looking at three prime candidates with these egregious, mark missing singles.
Berzerk. One only wonders whether berserk was how Eminem was feeling when penning this poor track. Eminem's music normally has a ton of content to decrypt, but Berzerk doesn't even sound like it belongs to the same artist's repertoire. It's overdeveloped, unpolished and maybe even unfinished. It's worst offence, though, is that it is an absolute chore to listen to.
Walk on Water just immediately flat lines from its opening line. The opening line, which is the most lazily sung piece of music by Beyonce in her entire career, combined with the worst chorus in Eminem's library which isn't only boring, it's straight up insulting to fans who expect at least adequate music from the pair. This song is just abysmal from start to finish and feels like it was written by a 10-year-old. Avoid at all costs.
Darkness is undoubtedly the best of these three, with little resistance from the other two. The only reason that Darkness appears here is that despite Marshall having the best of intentions at heart, the entire song - and the video that accompanies it - just come off as an insensitive chance to reiterate a real-life tragedy to generate currency. It feels gross for Eminem to attempt pulling off something this sincere when he used to drop lines like "I take seven kids from Columbine, stand 'em all in line, add an AK-47, a revolver, a nine"
