Eminem: 10 Most Overrated Songs
3. Godzilla
Felling like the spiritual successor to Rap God, a song which is a feat that can only be impressive the first time round due to it leaning far too heavily on Eminem's skill rather than the songs resplendent non-sequiturs that admittedly do work, but just don't adhere to structural songwriting, Godzilla is just a rinse and repeat of the former and a very soulless one at that.
The only real uniqueness this song imbues is the feature artist - Juice WRLD - who does a commendable job and throws down one of his best verses before his unfortunate, untimely death.
Outside of the aforementioned, there really isn't anything to grasp on to here. There's no message, nothing interesting or remotely clever and more than anything it revokes the tendencies that made everyone fall in love with Eminem in the first place, shamelessly hiding behind the moniker of another auspicious franchise, probably because a new Godzilla film was on the horizon and a quick Google search for the bestial reptile would've led people to realise that Eminem has a new song out.
