Eminem - Kamikaze: Every Song Ranked From Worst To Best
6. Normal
This is the closest you’ll get to a concept song on Kamikaze, and is notably better than the majority of Eminem (bad) relationship songs in recent years. It is helped by the fact that it doesn’t take itself as seriously as the likes of Good Guy or Love The Way You Lie, and is the sort of ‘love song’ you could genuinely imagine the real Slim Shady penning in the early noughties.
Catchy and at times preposterous, Normal meshes together Shady humour, good production and quirky rhymes. It’s also one of the few times on Kamikaze where it doesn’t feel like he is trying to prove he’s the best rapper in the world, which makes for a nice break in pace.
It will probably be largely forgotten, as it’s not one of the many tracks that made headlines (i.e he doesn’t diss anyone on it), but it’s definitely one of the more rounded and complete songs on the album.
