Eminem - Kamikaze: Every Song Ranked From Worst To Best
5. Kamikaze
A major criticism of Revival was that its production was lazy and at times even dull, something that was certainly not true of his earlier albums. The song Kamikaze, with its bouncy beat and old school Shady chorus is reminiscent of that era; the era when almost every Eminem song was ridiculously catchy.
This is also a throwback to the dark, witty, Shady humour that is often missing from his recent music. Kamikaze is the epitome of what makes Eminem different. He can just get on a track and be as ridiculous as possible, but is so talented in doing so, that it almost doesn’t matter how outlandish his rhymes are.
Even though for the title track of an album it doesn’t feel as important as it should, it’s still a great reminder of the more anarchic side of Marshall Mathers; one that has been missed by a large proportion of fans who might consider The Slim Shady LP their favourite Eminem album.
