Eurovision 2018: 9 Other Hungarian Bands You Should Hear

3. Stubborn

Currently celebrating ten years of existence, Stubborn are formed from a group of primary and high school friends from a small village just outside Budapest. They spent their formative years honing their craft on their respective instruments before setting out and taking their sound on the road.

Their live reputation quickly grew, and was subsequently supported by the release of their debut EP, The Infinity Has Just Begun in 2011. Two quick-fire releases in 2012 saw the band further develop as a cohesive, earning themselves support slots with the likes of Stick to Your Guns, Comeback Kid, Set Your Goals, Cancer Bats and More Than a Thousand.

Their punishing debut album The Ache of Love was released in 2014 and was in acclaimed Hungarian underground online magazine Nuskull's top ten albums for the year.

Stubborn carried this momentum into the next few years, making appearances in Slovakia, Serbia, Turkey, Poland, Czech Republic and more, releasing two new songs along the way. They would then enlist new drummer Dániel Ivánfi and begin work on their sophomore album, 2018's Let's Start a Fire.

The band are currently preparing for a co-headline show with fellow Hungarians Orion Dawn.
