15. Feels Like Summer
A self-obsessed matrimony of half-baked ideas and an
overabundance of autotune, indicative of a lack of originality, or just a viably
grounded idea in general. The song may be titled “Feels like summer” but don’t
let that fool you! It definitely does not evoke the feeling of summer, instead feeling
more like an audio prototype for an experimental VR (virtual reality) video game.
The song lacks character, identification and most of all replayability (a death
sentence in the medium of music).
The redeeming qualities are few and few between. The lyrics are non-existent, the rhythm remains in check, but unwillingly formulaic, feeling like the swansong of an artist that has bitten a bullet, then proceeding to swallow it.
It would be adequate in the capacity of an elevator in a pristine hotel, but other than that, I really wouldn’t bother with this song at all.
