Every David Bowie Album Ranked Worst To Best (By Guitar Power)

10. Heroes (1977)

The second in the ‘Berlin trilogy’, ‘Heroes’ itself is the standout track. Robert Fripp’s guitar, with the help of an e-bow, weaves endlessly sustaining and soaring lines behind one of Bowie’s most instantly recognisable songs.

Elsewhere, however, the guitar quotient is low with Eno and Bowie contributing synth parts and a couple of tracks suggesting an ambient electronic vibe. Axe-hungry listeners will still feel considerably short-changed, however.
