Every David Bowie Album Ranked Worst To Best (By Guitar Power)

9. Station To Station (1976)

Marking a crossover again for Bowie, this time from the blue-eyed soul of ‘Young Americans’ on the journey towards the so-called Berlin trilogy. ‘Golden Years’ was the hit single that most will know.

The title track includes Bowie’s self-referencing line, ‘the return of the thin white duke’, and for guitar fans, 'Stay' features an intro showcasing Earl Slick’s soloing and Carlos Alomar’s rhythm chops. Widely hailed as one of Bowie’s most significant albums, it could do with a little more rock’n’roll in its soul.
