Every David Bowie Album Ranked Worst To Best (By Guitar Power)

24. The Buddha Of Suburbia (1995)

Loosely conceived as a soundtrack for the TV series of the same name – it is an album that was hailed on its release as a return to the feel of his mid ‘70s work, but in truth, falls far short. This kind of over-praising of the mediocre is understandable in light of the standard that Bowie reached on his earlier albums.

The devout, fanatical following that Bowie had built based on his classic records was always going to be wilfully blind to the glaring flaws in his later works.
