Whilst Father of All... is actually the most recent Green Day album, 2016's Revolution Radio is the most recent Green Day album that most people actually liked.

Their twelfth studio release begins with a punch; the song Somewhere Now kicks off with a slow intro that eventually bursts into life with epic chords and Billie Joe's always-pleasant drone.

It's about the mundanity of life and how all-consuming that is, with the "Somewhere Now" mentioned in the title being a place that the main character is rushing to, even though they don't want to be there.

Armstrong commented on how the over-the-top nature of the music contrasts with the song's dull subject matter, which adds to the sense of discord created by the record.

This is Green Day bringing their A-game; a great arrangement with insightful lyrics wrapped up in one digestible rock package. It's good stuff, but not as good as...
