Every Iron Maiden Album Closing Song Ranked From Worst To Best

15. To Tame A Land - Piece Of Mind

By the time their fourth album, Piece of Mind, was out, Iron Maiden had cracked their winning formula and settled into a groove that would last for pretty much the rest of their existence.

Unfortunately, that means there are a few songs on the album that suffer from a disease called "blanditis". To Tame a Land is one of those songs, as it sounds like most other things on the record, but without that little something to make it stand out.

Also, its lyrics recount the story of Frank Herbert's Dune, a sci-fi novel so complicated that you need two degrees just to work out how to turn the first page.

Nobody wants to listen to metal and be confused.
