Every Iron Maiden Album Closing Song Ranked From Worst To Best

11. When The Wild Wind Blows - The Final Frontier

The farewell to Maiden's 15th studio album, The Final Frontier, begins with a soft, sombre acoustic intro with Dickinson singing about an impending apocalypse. Then, right on cue, said Ragnarök arrives, and the song explodes into life.

If you couldn't already tell based on its title, The Final Frontier is about space and the universe, allowing the band to tackle much bigger themes than they had previously. When the Wild Wind Blows is a great example of that; an 11-minute track about humanity facing up to its demise.

A good song that goes a little too long with some dodgy vocal moments here and there, When the Wild Wind Blows is, thankfully, not the end of the world.
