Every Iron Maiden Album Closing Song Ranked From Worst To Best

12. The Unbeliever - The X Factor

Continuing the trend of non-Bruce Dickinson Maiden albums is The X Factor from 1995, which was the first record released following Big Bruce's departure from the band.

Blaze Bayley, formerly of Wolfsbane, was drafted in to replace Bruce, and he did an okay job, all things considered. His deeper baritone was a nice contrast to Dickinson's quivering falsetto, but it wasn't a change that fans were going to stomach for very long.

The Unbeliever, the album's final track, showcases Bayley's vocals nicely, but fails to end the record with a bang. The riff is fine, but too consistent to be exciting, as it quickly wears out its welcome.

A passable effort, but you could tell Maiden were in a slump.
