Every Iron Maiden Album Opening Song Ranked From Worst To Best

11. Wildest Dreams - Dance Of Death

Alas, not a cover of the Taylor Swift song of the same name, but rather the first song on the band's 2003 album, Dance of Death.

Accompanied by a super creepy animated music video, Wildest Dreams performed quite well commercially, selling enough units to crack the top 10 of the mainstream UK chart.

Perhaps this was because this is song was so easily digestible, aka painfully paint-by-numbers.

Whilst there's nothing bad to say about Wildest Dreams, there just isn't much to say about it in general. The guitar solo is alright, but nothing special, and the chorus was clearly written with a stadium audience in mind, which is good for a live crowd, but less exciting if you're listening to it alone.

To call this song "wild" would be a criminal overstatement.
