Every Nickelback Album Ranked From Worst To Best
1. Silver Side Up
Even though Nickelback have made some great records in their time, there could only be one winner. ‘Dark Horse’ and ‘Curb’ are both great albums from opposite ends of Nickelback’s spectrum, but they pale in comparison to 2001’s ‘Silver Side Up’. As an album that sold over 8 million copies within 12 months of its release, ‘Silver Side Up’ was one of the biggest rock releases of the entire decade.
‘Silver Side Up’ is mostly remembered as the album that gave Nickelback their first #1 single, ‘How You Remind Me’. From 2001-2005, ‘How You Remind Me’ topped the charts of nine nations including Ireland, the US Mainstream Rock Chart and the UK Rock and Metal Chart.
As a single alone, ‘How You Remind Me’ has sold 3 million copies since its initial release and achieved platinum certification seven times.
The success of this record doesn’t end there, as ‘Silver Side Up’ was included in Billboard US’ top 50 albums of the 2000’s and was certified platinum eight times over in Canada alone. Every song on this album is great though, not just ‘How You Remind Me’.
Less credited songs such as ‘Hangnail’, ‘Never Again’ and ‘Hollywood’ make this album a surprisingly moody and trudging release that has endured the test of time.
