Every Papa Roach Album Ranked From Worst To Best
1. The Paramour Sessions
Despite the fact 'Infest' is far and away the biggest and most celebrated of Papa Roach's records, the immaculate quality of their 2006 album is simply untouchable. 'The Paramour Sessions' was the band's fifth studio album and the first of two to be recorded at the Paramour Mansion in Hollywood.
With this studio endeavour, Papa Roach extended their reach into the world of hard rock as the nu metal scene already started to feel like a distant memory. 'Getting Away With Murder' had opened the window of opportunity, and this record ran with that chance. Guided by singles such as 'To Be Loved' and 'Time is Running Out', this brilliant album went comparatively unnoticed when pitted against the records that have emerged since, but it was truly a defiant exclamation point in Papa Roach's career.
'The Paramour Sessions' is an unsung hero within Papa Roach's discography, bringing us some of the most underrated songs they have ever released. These include 'My Heart is a Fist', 'Forever', 'Crash' and 'Roses on my Grave'. Overall, 'Infest' and 'The Paramour Sessions' are both exceptional albums which easily surpass the 10/10 threshold, but the emotion, diversity and unmatched creativity of the latter gives it the edge, making it Papa Roach's best album.
