Every Papa Roach Album Ranked From Worst To Best
2. Infest
No conversation about Papa Roach is truly complete without mentioning this exceptional album or its most famous inclusion, 'Last Resort'. Even now, 'Last Resort' remains the band's biggest single by a landslide, with the original album version of the song possessing over 800 million Spotify streams to date. The song has over four times the amount of streams as Papa Roach's second biggest Spotify single, 'Scars', which currently sits just below 200 million. But we're here to talk about the entire album, not just 'Last Resort'.
Released in 2000 through the now defunct Dreamworks Records, 'Infest' was an instant success which dwarfed even the highest of expectations that had been placed upon it. By the end of its release year, 'Infest' was amongst the top 20 biggest selling albums of the year and achieved platinum certification. Fast forward 22 years, the iconic nu metal album now has six platinum certifications worldwide, as well as three gold certifications.
'Infest' is generally held to similar heights as 'Hybrid Theory' and 'Follow the Leader', as one of the best albums to ever emerge from the nu metal genre. These high accolades were not achieved by one song though, as other inclusions such as 'Between Angels & Insects', 'Dead Cell' and 'Blood Brothers' all contribute immensely to the overall brilliance of this album too.
