Every Papa Roach Album Ranked From Worst To Best

5. The Connection

As we creep into the top five, we first acknowledge what is potentially Papa Roach's most underrated album, 'The Connection'. Released in 2012, 'The Connection' represented a crucial turning point in the band's history, as they tried to look beyond a hard rock narrative they were quickly exhausting. Here, the band could either stick to their guns and settle, or push onto new challenges by experimenting with their style. Thankfully, they chose the latter.

Papa Roach used this album to delve into a cutting edge rock sound that was bolstered by bold production and infectious electronic undertones. 'The Connection' opened up new avenues within Papa Roach's style, and saw them releasing music which seemed alien compared to material they had become known for ten years prior. Yet, the brave switch paid off in emphatic fashion and fans praised the group's newfound energy.

Not only did this album introduce the band to a new generation of rock fans, but it also became their highest charting UK album since 'Getting Away With Murder' in the process. Top recommendations from this album include 'Where Did the Angels Go', 'Breathe You In' and 'Not That Beautiful'.
