Every Queen Album Closing Song Ranked From Worst To Best

8. Was It All Worth It - The Miracle

Queen weren't afraid to end their albums on a sappy note, as evidenced by this final effort from 1989's The Miracle.

Was It All Worth It looks back on the band's life and times in rock 'n' roll and poses the big question laid out in the song's title. As this is such a monumental theme, everything in this song is turned up to the max; Mercury's delivery, May's guitar, it's even got a damn gong in it!

And when have Queen ever disappointed when using a gong?

This song is a perfect example of going out with a bang, as it closes the doors on The Miracle before blowing them right off their hinges. John Deacon has stated that it's his favourite song on the whole album, and there ain't much higher praise than that from Deaky himself.
