Every Queen Album Opening Song Ranked From Worst To Best

13. It’s A Beautiful Day - Made In Heaven

Made in Heaven, Queen's final studio album in their original form, came out four years after Freddie's tragic passing as a result of AIDS.

The rest of the band used existing recordings of their fallen friend to put out one last hurrah, which turned out to be much better than most people were expecting. The opening song is called It's a Beautiful Day, which was born from clips of Mercury experimenting on the piano back in the early '80s.

The deceased singer's voice is complimented by a haunting orchestral arrangement, adding a cinematic quality to this ghostly tune.

Whilst not a fully formed song, It's a Beautiful Day still has something about it. Perhaps it's the knowledge that this is the voice of someone long dead, or that it's an insight into a world where Freddie lived.
