Featuring a massive, unruly crowd, by the end two people had been killed - crushed to death during GN'R's set. While there was no indication the band was aware of what had happened, they took a lot of flack for still playing their full set, and for making comments that included "don't f**king kill yourselves" to the crowd. The show was also widely bootlegged, and fans certainly got the wrong impression in some circles. The reality is that the band were totally unaware of the tragedy, and would have stopped playing had they known.
