Kiss: 10 Awesome '90's Songs You've Never Heard

6. "Sure Know Something" - Unplugged, 1996

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4kTtGbNa-8 A hidden gem from Kiss' controversial Dynasty album of 1979, Sure Know Something is another tune that translates exceptionally well in the Unplugged format. It was definitely a highlight on the original release, an album that, after the outstanding Love Gun (1977) confused and alienated many fans. Featuring a solid bass line and some jazzy, melodic guitar work the song's chorus is exceptional. Released as a single, the original reached the top ten in several countries although not in North America where it fared rather poorly in the shadow of Dynasty's big hit, "I Was Made For Loving You". At the time disco was king and Kiss cashed in on the hype, the first tangible instance where that was in evidence. This chameleon-like ability would be repeated several times in their career.
