Korn: EVERY Album Ranked Worst To Best
9. Take A Look In The Mirror
Take A Look In the Mirror is one of the band's most confusing creations - a deep, heavy, thoughtful metal record that simultaneously captures their heavier sound and yet feels mostly disjointed. From the opening chords and energetic chorus of "Right Now" to the affecting ballad "Counting on Me," the album features some of Korn's most exciting and arena-worthy tunes, but never seems to find its rhythm.
For every "Break Some Off" there's a "Play Me" (which features Nas and just doesn't quite work), and for every "Everything I've Known" there's a meaningless song like "Ya'll Want a Single."
Take A Look in the Mirror has some of the band's most filthy, angst-ridden anthems, which is why it sits above The Paradigm Shift and See You On the Other Side, but as a whole album it never really finds its footing, and isn't fully aware of what it wants to be.
Best songs: Counting on Me, Right Now, Break Some Off, Let's Do This Now
