Korn: EVERY Album Ranked Worst To Best
10. The Paradigm Shift
Featuring the long-awaited return of Head, Korn's eleventh studio album sees the band returning to their roots. With less experimentation (but still enough of a light, radio friendly sound to make the record easier to have on in the background than, say, Issues), The Paradigm Shift is an album bursting with heart and excitement.
From the emotional ride that comes with "It's All Wrong" to the old-school vibes brought about from "Spike In My Veins," the album is one with enough melodic beats and thoughtful lyrics from Jonathan Davis to create one of the band's more interesting records.
Despite this there are some issues, particularly in the fact that Head's return, though amazing to see, meant the band were trying to keep up with their old experimentation whilst also trying to capture their old, heavier sound, leading to some clunky tunes such as "Never Never" and "Victimized" threatening to undercut the record's stronger moments.
Still, there's plenty to love, and the return of Head makes it a welcome addition to the band's discography.
