5. Gun Bra Lady Gaga seemingly likes guns attached to her breasts. She was seen toting a similar gun bra on the July 8, 2010 cover of Rolling Stone magazine. The gun bra pictured above was worn on the 2013 Canadian leg of the "Born This Way Ball Tour" in January. Gaga received criticism from public authorities about wearing the gun bra only a month after twenty six people were killed by gun fire in a Connecticut school massacre. Tom McKay of PolicyMic.com condemned the outfit as "tasteless and inappropriate," especially since she wore it one day after Vice President Biden met with Congress and the NRA about how to curb gun violence. "Generating controversy from a dress made of steaks is one thing. Generating controversy from the wholesale slaughter of children and teachers is quite another," he said. Sharon Osbourne also criticised Gaga on her fashion choice: "Everything is guns, guns, guns...this is not right, and she should be stopped...all I'm asking her to do is to stay true to her foundation, which she said she wants the world to be a braver, kinder world." Lady Gaga decided to substitute the gun bra later in the succeeding North American leg of the tour - opting for a plain black bra - sans weaponry. There was no comment made from Gaga or her representatives regarding the controversy. I am quite surprised that she didn't make a public standing on gun use given she expresses political views on other contemporary issues through her fashion.
