Marilyn Manson: EVERY Album Ranked Worst To Best

1. Holy Wood (In The Valley Of The Shadow Of Death)

To date Manson's best album, Holy Wood (In the Valley of the Shadow of Death) took everything that made Portrait and Antichrist so good and meshed them together into the perfect rock album. A scathing assault on mainstream media, his critics and American culture, the record was in part a response to the Columbine Massacre, which was partially blamed on Manson's music.

Manson, never one to be turned away by controversy and critics, spends twenty tracks pointing out the true issues with society, and does so with a perfect blending of hard rock tracks ("The Fight Song"), atmospheric tone-setters ("GodEatGod") and anthems for the outcasts ("The Nobodies").

Holy Wood is Manson's most accomplished record from both a musical and lyrical standpoint, a moving, powerful, rebellious series of anthems that never let up despite the 80-minute runtime. It doesn't get any better than this.

Best Songs: The Fight Song, The Love Song, GodEatGod, Disposable Teens, The Nobodies, In the Shadow of the Valley of Death.
