Marvel Cinematic Universe: Soundtrack Scores Ranked From Worst To Best

13. Ant-Man And The Wasp

Ant-Man had one of the more stand out and original scores from the MCU. Christophe Beck returns here to build on the themes he created, developing a new variation for Wasp's theme. While the soundtrack is another strong delivery from Beck, it doesn't quite do enough to overtake his first outing for his top post.

The soundtrack is bright and fun, much like the first one. Though, there is a sense of power in this one associated with Wasp's theme, one that suggests a greater confidence than Scott Lang ever had while donning the suit.

There are several variations on Ant-Man's theme, like an 8-bit rendition along the way, but it is Anthropodie that perfectly sums up the film's playfulness, along with its sense of drama.

Ghost's theme is moving and dark, erupting in Ghost = Toast with all of the energetic power that Beck could muster. While the soundtrack is an overall success, it is perhaps a barbed compliment to say that he did a slightly better job the first time around. There are excellent variations, yet they are exactly that - there are more variations than innovations here.

Having said that, Ant-Man and The Wasp's soundtrack stands above several of the other MCU entries in terms of both the execution in the film and enjoyable themes. It may not match the heights of Doctor Strange or Thor: Ragnarok, but it is a blast all the same.
