3. Killing Is My Business...And Business Is Good!
Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good! is Megadeth's debut studio album, the record that started it all. Released in 1985, the band reportedly spent so much of the record's budget on drugs, alcohol and food that they were forced to fire the producer and produce the record themselves. Nevertheless Killing Is My Business was positively received by critics and the band began to develop a dedicated fan base. The record is frequently credited with helping legitimize thrash metal as a sub-genre of heavy metal, and it's clear to see why. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcwnutEOv1E The passion and youthful energy evidenced by Mustaine and the rest of the band makes it easily Megadeth's rawest release, and though it may not be as technically insane as some of their latest albums, there's an vitality that is rarely paralleled elsewhere.
